\u00a7 1<\/strong> Die \u201cHugo-Obermaier-Gesellschaft f\u00fcr Erforschung des Eiszeitalters und der Steinzeit\u201d ist eine gemeinn\u00fctzige Vereinigung von Forschern, die sich mit der Erforschung des Quart\u00e4rs, des urgeschichtlichen Menschen und der Steinzeit befassen oder von Freunden solcher Forschungen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The society is based in Regensburg, the birth-city of Hugo Obermaier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a7 2<\/strong> The function of the society is, to support and represent the interests and concerns of the Quaternary science, with a special focus on the research on the Palaeolithic man, his environment and his cultures. Priority has the work, that is standing in the tradition of the work of Hugo Obermaier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The support is to be done by:
By the support and publication of the \"QUART\u00c4R\"-yearbook and the volumes of the \"QUART\u00c4R-BIBLIOTHEK\" (By Volume 55 the QUART\u00c4R-yearbook bears the subtitle \"International Yearbook for Ice Age and Stone Age Research\"). Maintaining relations to foreign researchers of the Quaternary and the stone age. Planing and arranging meetings and congresses. Supporting scientific projects; e.g. excavations<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a7 3<\/strong> Die Hugo Obermaier-Gesellschaft f\u00fcr Erforschung des Eiszeitalters und der Steinzeit setzt sich aus ordentlichen Mitgliedern zusammen. Ordentliche Mitglieder k\u00f6nnen sowohl Einzelpersonen als auch Verb\u00e4nde, Gesellschaften und K\u00f6rperschaften sein. Diese werden in den Mitgliederversammlungen durch jeweils eine stimmberechtigte Person vertreten. Eine Stimmenh\u00e4ufung auf eine Person ist nicht m\u00f6glich. Vertritt eine Person eine K\u00f6rperschaft und ist gleichzeitig pers\u00f6nliches Mitglied, so hat sie dennoch nur eine Stimme.
Jedes Mitglied entrichtet einen j\u00e4hrlichen Beitrag.
(Die H\u00f6he des Mitgliedsbeitrages wird von der Mitgliederversammlung festgelegt und ist nicht Teil der Satzung. Der Mitgliedsbeitrag betr\u00e4gt derzeit f\u00fcr ordentliche Einzelmitglieder und K\u00f6rperschaftsmitglieder Euro 25,-; f\u00fcr studentische Mitglieder Euro 10,-) Nach Entrichtung ihres j\u00e4hrlichen Beitrages erhalten die ordentlichen und au\u00dferordentlichen Mitglieder einen jeweiligen Bericht \u00fcber die Jahrestagung kostenlos. Das Jahrbuch \u201cQUART\u00c4R\u201d und die B\u00e4nde der \u201cQUART\u00c4R-BIBLIOTHEK\u201d k\u00f6nnen die Mitglieder zu einem Preisnachlass von 30 %, resp. 25 % beziehen. Au\u00dfer ordentlichen Mitgliedern hat die Gesellschaft beratende = korrespondierende Mitglieder und Ehrenmitglieder. Als beratende = korrespondierende Mitglieder werden der Mitgliederversammlung vom Vorstand um die Quart\u00e4r- oder Steinzeitforschung besonders verdiente Forscher vorgeschlagen. Ihre Anzahl soll jeweils nicht zehn \u00fcberschreiten.
Als Ehrenmitglieder schl\u00e4gt der Vorstand der Mitgliederversammlung solche Pers\u00f6nlichkeiten vor, die sich gro\u00dfe Verdienste um die Hugo-Obermaier-Gesellschaft bzw. die Quart\u00e4r- oder Steinzeitforschung erworben haben. Ihre Anzahl soll jeweils nicht f\u00fcnf \u00fcberschreiten. Beratende = korrespondierende und Ehrenmitglieder sind von Beitragszahlungen entpflichtet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a7 4<\/strong> Business is carried out by a six person board of directors. The society is legally represented by the first and second chairman in connection with a further board member. The board of directors is composed of:\n\n\n\n

1. the 1. chairman = president
2. the 2. chairman = vice president
3. the secretary
4. the treasurer
5. and 6. two assessors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In advisory capacity a board of up to seven members can advise the board of directors. Advisory members are presented by the board of directors to the meeting of members.
The board of directors and the advisory members are elected by the meeting of members for a duration of three years. Two reelections are possible. The board of directors remains in office until a new board is orderly elected. Is there a tie in the vote of the board of directors, the vote of the 1. chairman decides.
If a member of the board of directors leaves the board inbetween the three years he was elected for, a new board member is elected in the next meeting of members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a7 5<\/strong> An orderly meeting of members is to be held at least every two years, allthough a meeting of members should be held every year, if possible. The meeting place is decided by the board of directors.
The call to the meeting of members has to publicated in writing at least 15 days before the meeting. The orderly meeting of members receives the account of administration and the treasury-report from the 1. chairman or his replacement person. This one is to be reimbursed by a controller, who is assigned by the board of directors at the beginning of the meeting. The meeting of members grants releif to the treasurer upon application.
Votes and decissions are carried out by the persons entitled to vote in the meeting of members and are votet after presentation to the members by the majority of votes.
In exceptional cases the board of directors can summon an exceptional meeting of members or arrange a written poll amongst the members entitled to vote.
An exceptional meeting of members can be arranged by one third if the orderly members of the society by written application and has to take place not later than 2 months after the incoming of the application at the board of directors. The application has to clearly show the causes and goals of the application. Decisions made by the meeting of members are to be recorded in writing, read at the end of the meeting and initialed by the chairman and the secretary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a7 6<\/strong> Proposals for changes of the charter can be offered by he board of directors at the meeting of members or by at least 15 members in written form at least 24 days before the next meeting of members. At least two thirds of the members have to accept the changes of the charter to have the changes take place. Is less than onme tenth of the members entitled to vote present at the meeting, the meeting is not quorate to change the charter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a7 7<\/strong> Die Aufnahme von Mitgliedern (auch von K\u00f6rperschaftsmitgliedern) erfolgt durch einfache schriftliche Erkl\u00e4rung an ein Vorstandsmitglied. Um rechtsg\u00fcltig zu werden, bedarf sie der Best\u00e4tigung durch den Vorstand, der sie verweigern kann. Die Erkl\u00e4rung des Austritts muss bis zum 31. Oktober des laufenden Jahres f\u00fcr das kommende Jahr schriftlich erfolgt sein, um Rechtsg\u00fcltigkeit zu haben.
Bei Vorliegen eines wichtigen Grundes, insbesondere wenn das weitere Verbleiben eines Mitgliedes der Vereinigung zum Schaden gereichte, ist der Vorstand \u2013 nach Anh\u00f6ren des auszuschlie\u00dfenden Mitgliedes \u2013 berechtigt, dieses auszuschlie\u00dfen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a7 8 <\/strong>A possible breakup of the society needs a meeting of at least two thirds of the societies members entitled to vote. three quarters of these members have to agree to break up the society. In this case the assets of the society go to the city of Regensburg to be used for the support of Quaternary science and the QUART\u00c4R-yearbook.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a7 9<\/strong> This charter was established in 1951 and changed by the decision of the meeting of members in the years 1966, 1972, 2005, 2008, 2012 and 2013.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
